Born March 14, 1930, in a small village in Lithuania, Sister Berenice survived the onslaught of both Nazi and Soviet forces during World War II, as well the loss of her parents and family farm before escaping to the United States with her Sisters in 1947. She proudly served in this position until July 2011. Upon returning to Fond du Lac, she did grant research and prospect identification in the Marian College Development Department from 1989-1996. For a total of 14 of those years, she was a teaching principal: at St. Mary, Eden, Wisconsin; St. Lawrence, Muncie, Indiana; and St. Mary, Nanty Glo, Pennsylvania.
